Statement
Photography has a sense of immediacy that feels very natural to me. The connection between myself and my subject is dynamic and responsive rather than reactive. My technical background with film cameras frees me to experiment and create bold compositions because I know what my tools are capable of. Taking a great picture is often spontaneous but a lifetime of preparation leads up to that moment.

Volunteer Experience
- Ravenswood ArtWalk, Chicago 2006 – Collaborated with local nonprofit groups Ravenswood ArtWalk and The Jane Addams Resource Corporation to create a documentary project for Chicago Artists’ Month exploring the connection between artists and industry in Ravenswood. Culminated in public exhibition at the 2006 neighborhood arts tour.
